So, it’s been a while. We know, we know. No worries though because we have resurfaced anew and sounding better than ever, at least we hope you’ll arrive at that determination. We’ve spent months upon months tweaking knobs and faders until what came out was worthy of your ears.
Nobody Dance is excited to announce the launch of our new web site (http://www.nobodydance.com) where you can catch up with us via the blog, buy tracks from your favorite music outlets or directly from the band and find us on your favorite online social scene. Soon we’ll be launching a video section with sneak peeks of us developing and recording new songs as well new music videos. In addition to the eye candy we will begin posting pre-album releases of new music for you to listen and comment on.
Shooooot, with all that you might as well be a member of Nobody Dance.
Peace and love to you and yours.

Greetings from Nobody Dance. I hope everyone is transitioning smoothly into the low-light months of Fall and Winter. I would encourage everyone to get outside and soak up as much sun as possible during the next few months. Eating lunch outside, weekend day hikes, and morning walks are a few ways to experience some of the sunshine that we miss during the short days of Fall and Winter.
Needing a break from city life band mate and friend Mark Harvey and I headed to Camp Redlands last weekend for a music and nature getaway. We loaded up the Subaru with three dogs, some music gear, personal belongings, and snacks and drove from Austin up to Stillwater, Oklahoma for a chance to get outside and play some music. Camp Redlands is a nice little wilderness retreat that is the current home of longtime friend and musical collaborator Scott Rouse. Another great friend and musical family member Philip Phillips also met us for the weekend.
The time at Redlands was great. It really felt awesome to be able to set up a keyboard outside in the beautiful weather and just play. I think it was a nice break for us all to be able to play some music together without any goals or expectations. Philip and Mark kept us full with some great cooking and the short hikes we took were good for the soul. Oh yeah, I’m still awesome at MarioKart. Philip is pretty good. Mark and Scott need to stay off the track all together.
After an awesome Sunday breakfast , Mark and I packed up the car and headed back to Austin. Our music selection for the rides to and from Stillwater really showed the diversity of our musical influences.

Bad drivers; they’re everywhere, but there seems to be an enormous number of them in Austin. Sure, nobody is perfect. I’ve rolled through my share of stop signs. Nonetheless, I make an effort to be a considerate driver.
Today’s Road Rage topic is:
Signaling for Lane Changes
This is for the Bluetooth Baldy in his bright blue Beamer!
Using a turn signal is not a question or a request. It is a statement. “Yield! I am changing lanes.” There is no such thing as someone cutting you off if they in fact have engaged their turn signal. There are exceptions and there are Yield signs to clarify Right-of-Way in these cases. Also, it is possible that one’s light bulbs are not working and therefore, the signal is not being received. In the event that bulbs are broken, one can signal with his or her arm as a cyclist would. My light bulbs, however, work quite well. Bright and Beautiful.
I recently had to prepare for a Texas Driver’s License test. Now, I can only speak of Texas law specifically, but I assume there is little difference elsewhere. Here are a couple of things that I learned:
1. When signaling to change lanes, the person signaling has the right of way.
2. When two drivers are signaling to enter the same lane from two different lanes, the driver in the left-most lane has the right of way.
Now, I don’t want to be a whistle-blower or a know-it-all and normally I’d laugh this sort of thing off. Today, however, I was driven to complete disgust by this grown man’s actions. Mr. Baldy was so outraged by the fact that I entered his lane with my signal on that he road my ass within inches of my bumper. He was doing so while flipping me off, yelling, and honking his horn. This behavior continued for about 2 minutes. All the while, we are inching down the highway at about 8 mph. I’m sure I really delayed is rush hour commute.
I don’t know about you, but I feel much better about sharing the road with these bits of information. All the same, it is probably best to assume that you are the only one that knows these things. With that in mind, proceed with caution and drive safely!
